Camp Walden

•     Arts & Crafts / Jewelery
o     We take great pride in the extensive Arts & Crafts programs available at Walden. In this area, we are looking for staff that are patient, committed and most of all creative. We are looking for people that are able to inspire our campers to be creative and create new and exciting projects that they can treasure for years to come.

•     Canoe
o     We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious instructors. Staff that have experience working on a waterfront or with previous ORCA or equivalent training will be preferred.

•     Canoe Tripping
o     Walden preserves a strong commitment to the values of outdoor camping. Campers will experience living in their natural surroundings and learn how to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. As campers work together to cook over an open fire and put up their tents, they build a strong bond that can last a lifetime. We are looking for staff that have experience leading canoe trips. Staff with Wilderness First Aid experience will be preferred.

•     Campcraft and Greenzone
o     In this area we are looking for staff that have a knowledge of the outdoors, working with overnight camping, orienteering, hiking and outdoor cooking.

•     Ceramics
o     Camp Walden boasts one of the biggest and best equipped recreational ceramics studios in the country! We are looking for staff who have experience working with pottery, sculpture, finishing and glazing.

•     Challenge Sports
o     Our climbing walls and low-ropes are one of our newer and updated facilities. We are looking for staff that are passionate about climbing, safety-conscious, patient and looking to encourage campers that are hoping to achieve some new goals. Applicants with ACCT approved training are preferred.

•     Sports
o     Most any game you could want is here! We encourage our sports staff to focus on fun and team sports. You should be passionate about sport and love playing with kids at any skill level. Applicants with Coaching Level 1 certification are preferred.

•     Dance & Fitness
o     Our Dance and Fitness program is one of our more active arts specialties. Staff in this area should have a passion for music, dance and be experienced with choreography.

•     Kayak
o     We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious instructors. Staff that have experience working on a waterfront or with previous ORCA or equivalent training will be preferred.

•     Sail
o     We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious instructors. Staff that have experience working on a waterfront or with previous OSA or equivalent training will be preferred.

•     Swim
o     Swim Staff are those that have their NLS and Instructors, enjoy being by the water and instructing campers on how to swim and helping them achieve their swim badges.

•     Theatre
o     Each unit at camp puts on a theatre production that is prepared by the Theatre staff. We are looking for staff that are able to work in the areas of directing, choreography, set design, stage management, musical directing and lighting and sound.

•     Waterski
o     We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious instructors. Staff that have experience working on a waterfront and/or their Pleasurecraft Operators Card will be preferred.
