Thank you for your interest in a position at Camp Walden. We will be opening our Interview Process on November 20. Please check back then or email wax@campwalden.ca for more information.
Whether you are applying for a senior staff position, cabin counsellor, specialist, kitchen or administration, we ask that you please read the following carefully...
To apply for any position at Camp Walden, you must be able to commit to the following:
IMPORTANT DATES - Updated for Summer 2013
Winter Holiday Interviews: January 5 and 6
Montreal Interviews: January 10 and 11
London Interviews: January 18
Job Offer Email: February 8

Staff who have been offered a position will have until March 1 to decide if they will commit. Those staff that are unable to commit by this date may have their job "held" for them BUT this job will certainly be a July-Only position.

TRIPPERS AND WATERFRONT SPECIALISTS MUST HAVE:
Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion active throughout the summer.
SWIM STAFF MUST HAVE ALL OF:
1. Lifesaving Society N.L.S.
2. Lifesaving Society Instructors
3. Canadian Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course
active throughout the summer.
TRIPPERS AND WATERFRONT HEAD STAFF MUST HAVE:
Lifesaving Society Bronze Cross active throughout the summer.
CANOEYAK STAFF MUST HAVE:
ORCKA Basic Canoeing
SAIL STAFF MUST HAVE:
TBD
SKI/SAIL/CANOEYAK/CAMP CRAFT STAFF MUST HAVE:
A boating license in order to drive a motor boat. Once you have the card, it is good for life. Click here for more information.
COLOUR STAFF
Staff assigned to our youngest unit should be aware of and prepared for transitions during the July Session which are unique to the Colour Unit. This means that you may be asked to move cabins or units during the July sesssion. This may also affect your days off and OD schedule.

I am pleased to tell you that each summer we hire over 20 “international staff” from five of the world’s continents. We hire all of our International New To Walden applicants through NYQUEST TRAINING AND PLACEMENT. Please apply through the NYQUEST website. Be sure to express your interest in Camp Walden Canada and indicate your position of interest.

Good News! If you are interested in a job working in our Kitchen, we are ready to look at your application right away. Being a member of the kitchen staff at Walden means working extremely hard in an intense, physical, and messy work environment. More information about this position can be found here.

Camp Walden often has a high return rate of staff however we often find ourselves looking for staff that are particularly skilled in certain areas.
