Meet The Committee

		Name: Zoey Fiksel (Co-Chair of the 40^th) Years at Walden: 1991-2005 Then: Colour Camper all the way through to CIT Coordinator Now: Obviously having some camp-related closure issues, and working in Public Relations/Corporate Communications.
		Name: Jonny Lightman (Co-Chair of the 40^th) Years at Walden: 1974 – 1977, 1994 – Present Then: Head of Theatre, Head Counsellor, Associate Director. Now: Teacher at George Brown College, married to Ryla Snider, former Walden Head of Swim, and father to Romy & Sari, former Walden campers & staff. Jonny will continue to coordinate future Alumni activities & events.
		Name: Jackie Saltsman (Food Committee) Years at Walden: 1997-2005 Then: Zodiac and Seeker Counsellor, Colour Unit Head Now: Speech-Language Pathologist with Toronto Preschool Speech and Language Services, married to Michael Binder (Camp Walden Alumni).
		Name: Seth Cole (Transportation Committee) Years at Walden: 1978-1993, 1999-present Then: Colour camper, Comic camper, Zodiac camper, Seeker camper, CIT, Swim staff, Head of Swim, Director of Waterfront, Program Director, Operations Manager Now: Assistant Director of Camp Walden, Elementary Teacher with the Toronto District School Board, married to Roberta with a daughter, Sharon (10 years of age) and a son, Jarred, (8 years of age) – both full summer campers at Walden.
		Name: Mark Steiner (Stoner) (Contact Committee) Years at Walden: 1980 – 1987 Then: Zodiac and Seeker Counselor, Seeker Assistant Unit Head, CIT Coordinator Now: Business Executive, married to Cheryl Cytrynbaum (Walden Alumni), 3 children, Kari, Samantha and Ryan (current Walden campers).
		Name: Cheryl Cytrynbaum (Cyt) (Contact Committee) Years at Walden: 1977 – 1984, 1986 - 1987 Then: Comic, Zodiac, Seeker Camper, CIT, Zodiac Counselor and Zodiac Unit Head Now: Genetic Counselor-Hospital for Sick Children, married to Mark Steiner (Walden Alumni), 3 children, Kari, Samantha and Ryan (current Walden campers).
		Name: Michael Waxman (Entertainment Committee) Years at Walden: 1993-2008... Then: Zodiac and Seeker Camper, CIT, Colour and Seeker Counsellor, CIT Coordinator, Walden Games Captain (GB!!!), Zodiac and Seeker Unit Head, Camper Tracker Now: Walden Life: Camper Tracker. City Life: Counselling Therapist and Social Worker at Jewish Family and Child Service of Toronto.
		Name: Steven Dan (Steely) (Marketing Committee) Years at Walden: 1989-2000, 2002 Then: ZCamper Comics through CIT, Comic Counselor, Zodiac Counselor, Seeker Counselor, Seeker Unit Head, Sail Head Now: Marketing Executive, married to Melanie Lazare, father of Leah (2.5 and Berry (8 mo's).

		Name: Ellen Howard (maiden name Lorie) (Food Committee) Years at Walden: 1979, 1982-1987 Then: Swim Staff, Head of Swim, Program Director Now: Director/Owner Zodiac Swim School, Zodiac Swim & Specialty Camp, Camp Tamarack, Married to Rick Howard (Walden Alumni), Mom of Josh (former camper & staff), Jennie (former camper and staff and Rebecca (former camper).

Can't Wait For Camp?

Thanks to Rose, Jen, AJ, Ben, all of our staff and everyone who attended! Our new "Can't Wait for Camp Event" was a huge success!

Hundreds of Walden campers, families, staff, and alumni gathered yesterday at Earl Bales Park to enjoy ice cream, sports, and each other's excitement for camp! To see pictures of all the fun, check out this link.
